Precise conversions
Convert a recipe to a different number of servings or a different pan shape (circle/rectangle) – optionally with heights for volume calculation.
Indivisible items
Items in "pcs" (e.g. eggs) are rounded to whole pieces. The difference is fairly distributed among divisible ingredients to keep the proportions.
Price & PDF
For each item, enter the package price (quantity + price). The calculator computes the recipe cost and individual item costs. You can export the result to a clean PDF.
How to (step by step)
- Log in with your e-mail.
- Choose a scaling mode – Servings or Area/Volume.
- Enter ingredients and quantities; mark Indivisible item for 'pcs'.
- Optionally add package pricing (quantity + price).
- Save the recipe or export to PDF.
Shapes and entering dimensions
- Circle: diameter (cm), optionally height.
- Rectangle/Square: width + length (cm), optionally height.
Servings vs. Area/Volume
If you don't enter heights, we calculate the area ratio. If you enter heights for both shapes, we calculate the volume ratio. The theoretical number of servings may be slightly adjusted – you can see this in 'How I calculated this'.
Tips
- For accurate pricing, fill in as many package prices (quantity + price) as possible.
- If you divide the recipe into sponge/cream/glaze, use separators in the table.
- Unhappy with the rounding? Change the indivisibility setting for the item.
Login (email + PIN)
Login is via email — the system verifies you have purchased a Suzys course and sends you a 4-digit PIN. The PIN is permanent for your account until you reset it. Nobody else has access to your recipes or prices.
Language and currency
In the top-right corner you switch language: 🇸🇰 Slovak, 🇨🇿 Czech, 🇬🇧 English. Your choice is remembered in the browser.
For each recipe you choose a currency (EUR / CZK / USD). Rates are automatically updated daily from ECB. When you enter a price in another currency, an estimated conversion is displayed.
Ingredient prices
For each ingredient enter the pack quantity and its price (e.g. 1 kg flour = 1.39 €). The calculator uses your price; if you don't enter one, it uses the default from the database (if available). Your prices are saved to your account and prefilled next time.
Admin occasionally adds current reference prices from stores (e.g. Tesco SK). However we always recommend using the price at which you actually buy — the result will be accurate.
Section separators
Divide long recipes into sections — e.g. "Base", "Cream", "Icing". Click "+ Separator" and enter the section name. In the PDF output, sections appear as headings and the calculation respects them.
Selling price (margin)
In the "Selling price / margin" block (below the result) you enter an hourly rate, estimated hours of work, packaging costs, and other expenses. Set a margin in % and the calculator computes the suggested selling price including price per serving. Ideal for determining the right price for customers.
Formula: (ingredients + labor + packaging + other) × (1 + margin%) = selling price.
Price quotes (Premium)
From a recipe you can generate a price quote for the customer with one click. Enter a title, intro, optional delivery, and a PDF is created from the recipe(s) with a summary and final price. You can store quotes and mark status: draft → sent → accepted / rejected.
After generation, prices in the quote are frozen (snapshotted). Even if you later change the price of an ingredient or recipe, the old quote remains unchanged — a guarantee for the customer.
Duplicate recipe
Click "Duplicate" on an open recipe — a copy named "(copy)" is created and you can edit it without affecting the original.
Shopping list (Premium)
From multiple recipes at once, it prepares a complete shopping list of ingredients (sums identical items). Ideal for baking multiple orders in one day.
PDF export
Click "Export PDF" — you download a clean, printable PDF file with the recipe, serving conversion and final price. Without watermarks, ready for the customer or your own archive.
Saving recipes
Save the recipe with the "Save" button — it appears in the "Select recipe" dropdown and you can return to it anytime. Recipes are tied to your account and are private.
Quick work tips
- In the recipe editor, Enter adds a new row, Tab jumps to the next field.
- If a price is missing, first try searching the list — admin continuously adds prices from e-shops.
- Don't create duplicate ingredients — rather use an existing one from the dropdown. Admin can merge them later.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the final serving count differ? When changing shape/dimensions, servings are calculated from area/volume, which may slightly change the result – this is expected.
Is the PDF export without watermarks? Yes, the output is clean, suitable for printing or for the customer.
More FAQ
Why does the calculator show a different price than the store? The calculator computes from the pack YOU entered — including quantity. If you entered a different pack, the result differs.
How do rates change? The calculator downloads them every morning from the European Central Bank (ECB). If you need a very accurate price in foreign currency, rather enter the price directly in that currency.
Are my prices and recipes private? Yes, each user has their own prices and recipes. Admin sees an overview but does not interfere with your data.
What is Premium? Premium features are Shopping List and Price Quotes. All other features (calculation, PDF export, saving recipes, prices, margins) are free for everyone with the course.
